Victor Horta invented the Art Nouveau architecture. Before Ort in the style of Art Nouveau (he is also a modernist style).
In this style first made furniture, lamps and table figurines - and it never occurred to anyone that in the same style you can build a whole house. Therefore, the four mansions that Horta built in Brussels, including his own house, are considered important sights of the city and carefully preserved with all the furnishings.

All the architects of Art Nouveau built mansions for themselves, but the original situation was completely preserved only by Orta's mansion. And in the art nouveau houses, the situation is the most valuable. Their furniture, doors, accessories - in a word, all the interior trifles were created in a single copy, as integral parts of this building alone.
